Application Procedure

We at Meridian Consultancy help you to choose the right course in the right University/College according to your needs and future plans. We undertake a phase of one to one discussion where the students are familiarized with the wide options available for them and thus the whole process of choosing a particular course and a university is simplified. After the initial counseling we assist you to process the application to the educational body and give special attention thereby highlighting the area essential for a well presented, error free application. We assess your English and where appropriate, recommend waiver of IELTS / TOEFL to the university. We then forward your application with all necessary documents with recommendations and follow it up with the Universities. We ensure that the offer letter is released at the earliest and also try to get scholarships if you have a good academic background.

Students are to submit all their documents and relevant certificates along with the filled application forms to Meridian, which is forwarded to the selected university/college chosen by the student. Within a short period a letter of acceptance from the concerned university/college will be issued to the student through Meridian Consultancy.

Undergraduate Applications

For undergraduate studies, applications are usually made through a computerized national system known as Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS). Students must complete a single UCAS form which allows them a choice of six universities and courses so that they don't have to make costly and time consuming multiple applications. UCAS forms should be ideally submitted before 15th December of the preceding year. Students can start applying even if they have not received their final results. However, even after 15th December, applications can still be processed in the normal way until 30th June. After that, applications will be handled through "Clearing Process".

Postgraduate Applications

Unlike the undergraduate application procedure in the UK, postgraduate course admissions are not centralised for all UK universities – each university has its own application form and process. The majority of postgraduate taught courses start in late September. Although most postgraduate courses do not have formal closing dates, you are advised to apply as early as possible and up to a year in advance of the start of your course.

Relevant educational documents (mark sheets & provisional certificates)
IELTS score sheet (if taken)
Reference Letters (Academic & Employment)
If not employed the students are required to bring two academic reference letters, which are not similar
Statement of purpose
Passport size photographs (4 Nos.)
Certificates of achievement (Optional)

Steps involved in an application to study Overseas

1	Choosing the course/programme of your choice.
2	Identifying the right University/Universities.
3	Taking various required English proficiency tests like IELTS, TOEFL, GMAT, etc.
4	Arranging all the relevant Educational Documents and Preparing Essays/SOP and recommendation letters.
5	Completing and sending application forms along with required documents to the chosen University.
6	Applying for VISA after obtaining unconditional offer letter from the Universities.
7	Arranging accommodation and travel.
